Kayla Kaplan is a thoughtful communications leader who is passionate about PR, music, sports, food, and cats.

Kayla comes as an accomplished public relations leader with 14+ years of communication success creating impactful campaigns and building brands that drive business goals forward, increase awareness and engage audiences. Kayla parlays her experience in influencer campaigns, digital strategy and media relations. 

Kaplan is currently the Head of Communications at Overtime, with over 100 million social media followers and 3 billion video views a month. She is a founding member of Overtime’s league launches including OTE (basketball), OT7 (football) and OTX (boxing). 

Before joining Overtime, she worked across multiple industry sectors for brands like Mercedes-Benz, Tide, Avocados From Mexico and Tempur Sealy. 

Kayla’s effective media relations work has earned clients national, regional and vertical trade coverage in outlets like Today Show, USA Today, Good Morning America, New York Times, ESPN, Variety, Oprah’s Favorite Things, Adweek, and Sports Illustrated. 

She earned her bachelor’s in Public Relations and Policy Studies from Syracuse University in Syracuse.

She currently lives in Basking Ridge, New Jersey with her husband, two children, and a cat!
